Mr. Romeo C. Alba, Chairman and Managing Partner of BDO Philippines, was elected Regional Director for Metro Manila Region of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) in 2010.
Effective July 1, 201, he assumed the following positions: Vice- President for Public Practice Sector, Chair- Geographical Area Office, Metro Manila Region (GAO MMR).
As Vice President for Public Practice, Mr. Alba coordinates with the Public Practice Regional Sectoral Representatives of the different Chapters in the Region, the Eastern Metro Manila Chapter (EMMC), the Northern Metro Manila Chapter (NMMC), the Southern Metro Manila Chapter (SMMC) and the Western Metro Manila Chapter (WMMC) and he eads the Chapters in addressing the concerns of the Sector.
As Chair of GAO MMR, Mr. Alba is responsible for running the affairs of the Metro Manila Region, and coordinates with the Regional Sectoral Representatives from Public Practice, Commerce and Industry, Education and Government and the Metro Manila Region Chair (MMRC). The MMRC echoes to the GAO MMR the concerns of the different Chapters, the EMMC, NMMC, SMMC and the WMMC, as gathered through the Chapter Presidents.
In another news, Ms. Letty C. Tagle, Audit Partner, was elected as President of the Southern Metro Manila Chapter (SMMC) of PICPA.
